This course gives participants the opportunity to receive advanced means and knowledge to retrieve fallen workers safely and is aimed at training rescue teams or personnel working in confined spaces. The emphasis is placed on equipment and techniques that enable them to quickly implement an efficient rescue in a variety of possible situations. Topics covered are: Identifying the locations and dangers of these spaces, detection and control, documentation and permits, testing and monitoring, tending worker responsibilities, procedures with written and practical exams.
The rescue portion of this course will cover types of rescues, equipment used and various types of injuries and how to best rescue a person with those injuries.
The objectives to this course are obtained through 100% participation; therefore, the candidate must be physically and mentally able to perform the tasks from an difficult positions. Certification, valid for three years, is issued upon completion of objectives.
Confined spaces are real places with real dangers and participants will learn where these areas are.
Course Length: Entry/Monitor - 6-7 hours
Rescue, add on - additional 2 -3 hours

Confined Space Rescue
OH & S Standards
Confined Space Rescue will cover types of rescues, equipment used and various types of injuries and how to best rescue a person with particular injuries, legislation and confined space rescuer obligations, as well as employer obligations. The objectives of this course are obtained through 100% participation; therefore the candidate must be physically and mentally able to perform the tasks.

Prerequisites: Valid Confined Space Entry/Monitor certification, First Aid
