H2S Alive Challenge
 The H2S Alive Challenge provides an option for H2S Alive re-certification. It is recommended only for those who are experienced in H2S field activities and environments, and who use breathing apparatus and detection equipment on a regular basis. The challenge option requires students to satisfactorily demonstrate, without assistance from the instructor, their skills on breathing apparatus, H2S detection equipment and CPR and evacuation skills. A written examination must also be successfully completed. If candidates do not successfully complete both the practical component and the examination, they must take the full course to re-certify.

Students must take the H2S challenge during the last three months of their current certification and with a current First Aid certification.
